“Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress.”- James 1:27
There are more than 143 million orphaned or abandoned children in the world today. Equivalent to nearly half of the U.S. population, this staggering number of young, helpless souls is difficult to imagine. Yet, Nations for Jesus (NFJ) believes each child is loved by God and created to know Him, which is why NFJ is taking bold steps to reach them with the gospel and provide for their needs.
Nations for Jesus offers a dynamic approach to helping orphans throughout the world by establishing church-based Hope Centers. Each Hope Center will house orphaned or abandoned children and supply them with food, shelter, clothing, education, vocational training, healthcare, and spiritual development so that they will have a safe, loving environment to grow physically, intellectually, and spiritually.
With God’s help, our goal is to show these children that they may not have parents; but they do have hope through a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and a family who loves them through the church. In this way, we strive to help them find their way out of spiritual and economic poverty to the abundant and productive lives they were created for. Will you join NJF in helping them?
